Dr Huynh is a fellowship-trained corneal and external eye diseases subspecialist. She graduated from the University of Sydney in 1996. After completing her residency, she commenced RANZCO ophthalmology training at The Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital. Following surgical training, she was granted the Corneal Fellowship for further training with the Corneal Unit at the Centre for Eye Research Australia headed by Professor Hugh Taylor AC.

Dr Huynh is an honorary member of The Royal Children's Hospital International for her charitable involvement in the establishment of a screening program for retinopathy of prematurity in Vietnam. She has also been heavily involved since 2006, on a voluntary basis, with the Vietnam Vision Project.

Dr Chi Can Huynh graduated from Sydney University in 1999 and immediately streamed onto Basic General Surgical training in 2000. During his senior years in Medical School he completed a three month research term with Tom DeMeester at the University of Southern California. He was accepted into the Advanced General Surgical training scheme in 2003 and then onto the Advanced Urology Training Program in 2005 where he trained at various institutions including Port Macquarie, Westmead and St. Vincents Hospitals. He was the inaugural robotic fellow when St Vincent’s Prostate Cancer Centre started their robotic prostate program in 2008. Following this fellowship he then spent 18 months in Manchester, UK completing a laparoscopic prostate fellowship. Dr Huynh has interests in erectile restorative surgery and robotic prostate surgery and was the first in Australia to perform a robotic assisted nephro-ureterectomy. He also holds teaching positions with the Rural Medical School of the Australian National University and the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Macquarie University.
