Dr Aggarwala is a Director at the Cardiac Health Institute.  He is a medical graduate of Newcastle University in Newcastle, Australia. Dr Aggarwala completed his specialist cardiology training in 1990. He has worked as a consultant cardiologist in Sydney for 22 years and has developed special expertise in interventional cardiology. He has a particular interest in ischaemic heart disease and preventative cardiology.  He is a Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at Macquarie University and is the Director of the Catheterisation Lab at Macquarie University Hospital. Dr Edward Barin is Co-Director of the Division of Cardiology and Medical Director of the Macquarie Heart Clinic at Macquarie University Hospital Clinic. Dr Barin coordinates the Cardiac Diagnostic Unit of Macquarie Heart Clinc at Macquarie University Hospital Clinic. His clinical focus is on heart rhythm and device management. He graduated with Honours at Sydney Medical School, holds a Master's Degree from its School of Public Health, and completed Postgraduate Training in London, England.  He directs the Pacemaker and Devices Clinic at RNS Hospital, is Adjunct Professor in FEIT at UTS, and is Clinical Senior Lecturer at Macquarie University. He has been involved in device based, vascular and clinical research. He also treats patients at Ryde and Royal North Shore Hospitals, where he is Senior Consultant Cardiologist.

Associate Professor Martin Brown graduated from London University in 1994 and completed specialist training in cardiology and general medicine in 2007. He studied a Fellowship in advanced heart failure and cardiac transplantation at The Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane in 2008 and was a staff cardiologist in the transplant unit for 5 years until he returned to Sydney in 2014.

He was awarded Fellowship to the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2007, the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand 2009, the European Society of Cardiology 2012 and the Royal College of Physicians (London) 2014. Associate Professor Brown is accredited in both cardiology and general medicine specialising in advanced heart failure, adult congenital heart disease, pulmonary hypertension, percutaneous valve therapies, high-risk cardiothoracic surgery patients and transplant cardiology.

Research

Associate Professor Brown was head of departmental research at the Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Unit, The Prince Charles Hospital for 5 years. He has over 50 publications and is a guest reviewer for Circulation, European Heart Journal and European Society of Cardiology. He is a Senior Lecturer for the University of Queensland and a Clinical Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Macquarie University. He has been an investigator in multiple international trials.

Joseph Chiha received his medical degree with Honours from the University of Sydney in 2003. He then completed his internal medicine and adult cardiology training through the Westmead Hospital Network. Dr Chiha was admitted to the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2009.

Following his PhD, he undertook a 2 year fellowship in complex interventional cardiology at the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre in Toronto, Canada, in association with the Toronto General Hospital. This is a world leader in the diagnosis and management of coronary artery disease. He returned in 2016 bringing his experience and motivation to MQ Health. His clinical interests include integrating diagnostic and therapeutic cardiology and invasive coronary procedures including angiography and stenting. Dr Joseph Chiha is a general cardiologist with sub-specialty training and accreditation in interventional cardiology.


His training experience includes all areas of cardiology:

- ischaemic heart disease/ coronary artery disease

- arrhythmia

- heart failure

- pre-operative assessment


Dr Chiha also has experience in aged care and the renal complications of coronary disease, especially contrast nephropathy and coronary interventions. He is a consultant cardiologist for Douglass Hanly Moir Cardiac Services, responsible for the interpretation and reporting of 24 hour ambulatory blood pressure monitors, electrocardiograms and holter monitors. He believes a consultative approach to cardiology and thorough communication with each member of the medical team responsible for his patients is paramount to excellent care.

Dr William Chik is an Interventional Cardiac Electrophysiologist, Cardiac Device Implantation Specialist and adult General Cardiologist. He has public appointments as a Consultant Cardiologist at Westmead and Auburn Public Hospitals. He is an accredited Cardiologist at Macquarie University Hospital, Westmead Private and Norwest Private Hospitals.
Dr Chik has extensive experience in general cardiology, hypertension and heart failure management. He specializes in management of heart rhythm disorders and is an expert in radiofrequency ablation of cardiac arrhythmias. He has special interests in cardiac device implantation including pacemakers, implantable defibrillators and biventricular pacing to deliver cardiac resynchronization therapy in heart failure patients.

Dr Chik was awarded his Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery degrees in 2002. He completed advanced cardiology training at Westmead Hospital. He is a Senior Clinical Lecturer with the University of Sydney. His enthusiasm and ongoing commitment to active clinical teaching led to his position as Clinical Lead for Post-Graduate Cardiology Training at Westmead Hospital.
He returned to Australia following the completion of his Clinical Interventional Fellowship specializing in Cardiac Arrhythmias and Cardiac Device Management at the prestigious Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, USA (2013-2015) where he worked and published clinical research with numerous renowned world leading experts in the field.

He was awarded his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree by the Faculty of Medicine at The University of Sydney. Outstanding cardiac research output has been highlighted by over 100 national and international peer reviewed publications and abstract presentations, culminating in international recognition and awards from the cardiac electrophysiology community.

Dr Chik is a current Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand (FCSANZ) and American College of Cardiology (FACC).
He speaks fluent Cantonese and conversant in Mandarin.

Dr Vincent Chow (BSc(Med), MBBS (Hons), PhD, FRACP, FCSANZ) is a general cardiologist who 
graduated with Honours from the University of New South Wales. He
 completed his cardiology specialist training and echocardiography
 fellowship at Concord Hospital in 2010, and was awarded his PhD degree at The University of Sydney in 2014. He has published his research in local and international journals. Dr Chow is a Staff Specialist at Concord Hospital and is a senior lecturer at the University of Sydney.

Dr Chow is fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin, and consults at United Cardiology in Eastwood and Concord Cardiology in Concord. He has admitting rights at Macquarie University and Concord Hospitals.
