Nicola Black is a speech pathologist with over 15 years of clinical/ managerial experience. As part of the Macquarie University Speech Pathology team she is currently involved in providing speech pathology services to Macquarie University Hospital (including MMI Modified Barium Swallow Clinic)/ Genesis Cancer Care and also provides an outpatient service at Macquarie University Outpatient Speech and Hearing Clinic. She has extensive Speech Pathology experience in the areas of neurology, neurosurgery, head and neck cancer, oncology, voice and tracheostomy management. As a clinical educator for the Masters of Speech and Language Program at Macquarie University she oversees students completing clinical practicums at Macquarie University Hospital.

Jennifer is a speech pathologist with 25 years of clinical experience in assessing and treating speech and language problems in children. She works with children and adolescents who have language delays and disorders; speech sound disorders; voice problems; difficulties with reading and spelling; stuttering; and Autism spectrum disorders. Her extensive therapy experience includes individual therapy, running therapy groups, as well as training parents and teachers to work with their children/students. She has worked in government health facilities and in private practice and has managed speech pathology teams.
Jennifer has been educating students in the Master of Speech and Language Pathology course for the past 10 years at the Macquarie University Speech and Hearing Clinic - teaching and supervising the Masters' students on clinical placements. Ms Brown also lectures and runs tutorials in paediatric speech, voice and language disorders; sharing her knowledge and expertise with the students and helping them link theory to practice. She lectured Chinese Speech-Language Therapists on the topic of language disorders in Beijing in 2013.

Lillian Cochrane is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist with clinical and managerial experience in acute hospital and rehabilitative adult care. As part of the Macquarie University speech pathology team she provides speech pathology services to Macquarie University Hospital and outpatient services at Macquarie University Speech and Hearing Clinic. Lillian has extensive experience in assessing and managing a broad range of communication and swallowing problems across the areas of neurology, neurosurgery, head and neck cancer and oncology. She has particular clinical interest in stroke, acquired language disorders, cognitive-communication difficulties, dysphagia management and motor-speech disorders. Lillian is committed to delivering holistic, evidence-driven service and is passionate about guiding and educating speech pathology students. As a Macquarie University Clinical Educator she supervises students completing practicums for their Master of Speech and Language Pathology.

Sarah has 15 years of experience working with paediatric clients across community health, hospital, private practice and school settings. Sarah's experience has been with a range of clients including those with early language delays, receptive and expressive language difficulties, speech sound disorders, stuttering, reading/spelling difficulties and voice disorders. She has significant experience and a clinical interest in paediatric feeding disorders. Sarah has also worked with paediatric clients with acquired communication difficulties as the result of stroke and neurological events. Sarah has worked in positions requiring management of the Paediatric Speech Pathology team as well as in clinical positions providing assessment and therapy to clients. Her experience has covered individual and group therapy as well as parent and teacher training. Sarah has been a high level clinical educator of students for the past 12 years, previously managing a student unit in community health and now educating and supervising students in the Macquarie University Speech and Hearing Clinic. Sarah also contributes to the theoretical component of the Masters’ students program via delivering lectures on paediatric language disorders throughout the year.

Ms Pittendrigh has worked as a speech pathologist for more than 14 years. She joined the Optimal SP team with an extensive background in providing specialist services to multidisciplinary teams including neuro-degenerative and oncology clinics. Ms Pittendrigh's specialties at Macquarie University Hospital include motor neuron disease (MND) and radiation oncology services.
