We are seeking a Coronary Care Nurse Unit Manager with experience leading a Clinical team in the delivery of the highest standard in clinical are.  This position is responsible for the management of the department ensuring the delivery of clinical nursing care, the management of all human resources, operational, quality and financial responsibilities for the department. 

The successful candidate will participate as a key member of the Senior Nurse Management team under the direction of the Director of Clinical Services. 

 

The Role

• Lead team by example to actively foster a positive culture focused on service and care
• Effectively plan and manage financial, human and material resources, particularly in relation to worked hours per patient day and medical/surgical consumables
• Responsible for ensuring Work Health and Safety compliance for your unit
• Work in consultation with the Director of Clinical Services to minimise identified risks
• Take responsibility for continual improvement of the policies and procedures implemented in the department assuming accountability for the results achieved

 

Skills and Competencies

• Current Nurse Registration from APHRA
• Effective communication and Interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated leadership and management skills
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
• Management qualifications (or working towards same)
• At least 5 year’s nursing experience with a minimum of  3 years within the specialty
• Sound computer skills
• Experience within the private health care sector
• Previous management experience (Preferred)
