Current Role

Registered Nurse – Grad@MUH (Ref. No: 1129)

The newly opened Macquarie University Hospital is Australia’s first and only campus based private hospital. This hospital offers its patients the highest level of medical care through pioneering on-site medical imaging, fully integrated digital operating theatres, a world class Intensive and Coronary Care Unit, an innovative research base and medical teams of professionals drawn from around the globe. Macquarie University Hospital is committed to a culture of best practice that includes staying in touch with research and ongoing education. It is because of this commitment that graduate nurses starting their career with us will ensure they have the best possible start.

The newly launched Grad@MUH program offers graduates of nursing a unique and exciting opportunity at this world class facility. For the first time graduates will be offered one year contracts in one of two streams, Perioperative or General.

The Perioperative stream offers placement opportunities for graduates with a desire to further their skills in an Operating Theatre setting, rotating through Anesthetics/ PACU and Scrub/Scouting experience. The General stream will provide graduates the chance to participate in three rotations in this exciting new facility. Both programs offer study days, on the job training and development and ongoing mentoring and support from Senior Nurse Educators.
