The Role


We are seeking a Manager of Facilities with demonstrated experience working with multiple stakeholders in large & complex health organisations. With superior interpersonal skills, the successful candidate will have a track record of delivering results in dynamic environments with competing priorities.


Summary of Key Responsibilities:


Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Manager of Facilities will lead the Facilities Services Department in providing engineering & maintenance of technical & property assets, management of facilities, biomedical engineering, security, car parking services, utility management & vendor negotiation & management.  In addition, the Manager of Facilities is actively involved in fire safety and emergency preparedness.


The Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in the management of Facilities Services in a large complex health organisation (preferably a private hospital).
  • Appropriate degree or advanced trade qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing staff and service providers to exceed service expectations and build an energetic team with a strong service-orientation in a complex, critical environment.
  • A collaborative and flexible style with a demonstrated focus on solving problems, customer service, and continuous quality improvement.
  • Demonstrably superior interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent skills in the management of self, including organisation skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a track record of delivering results in a dynamic environment with competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience in the management of service-based contracts, vendors and service-providers against documented SLAs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety issues in a health care environment.
  • Previous management of biomedical engineering services.
